• A: Use irssi and point it to /server irc.quakenet.org. (20-slots)


• Q: I think people are following me, and tracking my Internet-activity!
• A: Use silc and point it to /server deviate.fi Full Anonymous access: No Logs, mixed hostnames.
• :: Public Service, so accessible from the Internet too.


• Q: My scripts wont work anymore on Irssi HELP? Your fault!?
• A: According to Irssi FAQ use command /load perl ;-)


• Q: How can i change the timezone of the clock in irssi?
• A: "/script exec $ENV{'TZ'}='nameofyourtimezone';"
• e.g. "/script exec $ENV{'TZ'}='UTC';" to run the clock
• in irssi on UTC while your system is maybe using CET.
• remember to /save too.


• Q: How can I read/access my mailbox?
• A: Remove .forward file from your $HOME directory to enable mailbox access.
• A: Use passwd protected pine or fetch via IMAPS-protocol.



• Q: How do i protect myself from spam/viruses?
